We had breakfast before the lock down light it was very tasty. Well located, you can still go for a walk afterwards.

I have known the restaurant for a while and I came with my family who didn’t know it and made a reservation in the late afternoon. Due to the current COVID time, we had to wait a short moment until we were shown to our table, but after that it went quickly. The menu was immediately given to us along with the current information sheet. There is always a seasonal (currently game) and the standard menu with schnitzel, salads, etc. We were pointed out straight away which two dishes on the seasonal menu are already off, which I think is perfectly fine. A small change of order (fried potatoes instead of French fries) was no problem - not always a matter of course. The food came quickly, the portions are large (main courses from around € 11) and, as always, everything was extremely tasty. Only - but from previous experience - I think the portion of the green sauce is too little. The waitresses also seemed to have a smile on their faces "behind the mask", despite a full house due to the good weather, despite dogs and children who always ran across the street. A special note "in these times": From November, the Waldtraut will also be offering "food to go" due to corona conditions !!!! A special thank you to "Christine" our very personable service. :)

As always - very tasty eaten (excellent chestnut soup and delicious Käsespätzle with salad) and served very friendly. I'll be back for sure!

Good German food. Would recommend their seasonal soup, own beer and handkase.

Update October 4th, 2020 Crash from 5 * to 3 *. Sitting outside and catching a friendly service is a 6 in the lottery. Some really still have to learn to smile. Too bad.....

Super delicious food. Seasonal cuisine. It is essential to reserve a table as it is always well attended. The ideal starting / ending point for various hikes in the Taunus.

Always friendly and very hard-working staff, very well implemented corona requirements. The food is very tasty and individual requests are taken into account, normal prices, free parking (if the parking time is less than 1 hour). Always worth a stop!

You shouldn't expect culinary highlights here, but the Waldtraut doesn't have this claim at all. The selection is very good for an excursion restaurant, the dishes are all very tasty, well crafted and the portions are so large that you will be full even after an extensive hike. The service remains calm, relaxed and friendly even in the hustle and bustle - very remarkable! The dishes can also be ordered to take away. My favorite: the salads. Top!

There is always a place to linger there. There is something to eat and drink for every taste. It is often quite crowded there on weekends. Service is quick and good. You can sit outside. Children and dogs are welcome. For children there is a small meadow by the house with a stream, but not fenced.

Good service, great food and beer. You sit nicely on the edge of the forest. We were just there with three children between the ages of 2 and 3. Unfortunately, the children had no opportunities to play, as the space for movement was severely restricted by barrier tape. Unfortunately, under the conditions only suitable for very short stays for young families. We hope this will change soon :-)

A good place to stop, eat and drink after a nice hike. Corona concept works well, seats are allocated. The menu for food and drinks is extensive, the service is good and the toilets are clean.

Very well attended when the weather is nice, indoor and outdoor restaurants with very tasty food (smaller but special menu) are priced a bit higher. Super organized when it comes to Corona. Building rather new and the toilets quite clean despite many guests. Parking space available. We sat outside, the tables are well spaced and were disinfected. The waiters wear face masks and are friendly. We recommend.

The food is very good. It is a popular stop for hikers, whether big or small. Therefore you should reserve a table in advance, especially on the weekend. There is also something for vegetarians on the menu, but the selection is not very large. Overall rather expensive.

The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the beef sausage with fries I ordered was completely cold and the fries mushy. And yes, I should have complained right away, but the hunger was greater. But it shouldn't have happened, because even the waitress could have seen from the wrinkled skin that the beef sausage must have been outside the hot water for some time.

The food came quickly, but unfortunately the wrong one. The same with the drink. Otherwise the waiters were friendly, would just wish me a little more mindfulness. The right food came quickly afterwards and tasted okay.

Delicious food, good service and always clean. I especially love their seasonal soups! Great place to go after hiking in the forest....dogs are welcome :)

This has to be one of the best restaurants for food I've ever been to. Flew over from England on business and work colleague recommended eating here. Food was rich and delicious. Service was good. Beer was fantastic! I dream of going back one day if I fly back over.

It is a nice place. The BBQ all you can eat on the first Friday of the month is nice. Burger a big and look good. Just the waiters could have a bit more attention to the guest.

Food: was good. We had a "Handkäse mit Musik" which was delicious and a Tanus Salad. They do serve local beer on tap from the city (Oberursel) Service: Friendly and quick Kids: There is a small climbing (boulder) wall where kids can have fun. A shelve inside with toys and board games.

Great local place with outdoor seats and great seasonal menus... Spargel, pfefferlingen, pumpkin, apples, yum!

Waldtraud is a very nice restaurant in the Taunus Naturpark. It is like a little hut at the beginning of the numerous trails that run into the naturpark. We normally go there with our children especially when the weather is sunny because the kids can play outside just on the river Ursel and it is quite funny and relaxing. The kitchen is very basic. Despite plates are well presented I would say that they are average taste. The staff is friendly but quite slow not in serving the food but more to understand whether there are additional needs beyond the order.

This was my 4 time in this restaurant in almost 3 months ... food great but this time the customer service it was awful... Last week I was there . I had my stroller where my kid was sleeping and by accident th waitres broke a glass bottle, she got so upset that she Kicked the broken pieces on the floor not caring about my kid being there .. . next thing the waitress who brought the bill ( which was a different o e ) knew I did not speak German but she speaks English ( she was taking to somebody else in English ) and she continued speaking and almost yelling at me in German because she got all mix up with the bill .... not my fault ... not coming back ... Poor customer service !!!!

Fantastic! Awesome setting, and the food is highlighted but the freshly prepared ingredients. An added bonus is the natural science display upstairs.

Cozy spot, even outside. Staff is very friendly and the food is good. We only came for afternoon tea and the cakes were delicious and the coffee was fine. I'd love to come back when the weather is nicer so I can sit outside!

A nice place to eat Frankfurt style and to see the children bouldering on the wall.

It is located at the entrance to Feldberg and very close to the U3 terminal Hohemark Station. Since it is located close to FIS, it is a place that many Koreans visit, and many people living in Oberursel visit it. Beers are sourced from the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus in Oberursel Altstadt, so those who are near Hohemark can drink the same beer here without going to Oberursel Altstadt. You can have light meals, delicious beer, coffee or tea, and there is an entrance to the forest right next to it, so it is a very good restaurant where you can go for a walk or stop by after a workout to have a meal or rest. The price is also cheap, so you can enjoy it as snacks for beer, schnitzel, french fries, and pizza.

The food was mediocre and it has the atmosphere of a cafeteria i.e. too loud and too hectic. Service and beer were good. Price was ok.
